Semi-Buffet Lunch

Available Daily

Portman’s Restaurant has a daily semi-buffet lunch with one main course of choice, priced at ¥298 during weekdays, ¥388 during weekends, served from 12pm-2:30pm.

On the buffet are a selection of cold and hot dishes, including stir-fried noodles, braised beef, and crispy pork knuckle, and dim sum classics of xiaolongbao and other steamed dumplings.

There's also fresh baked breads, seafood on ice, and a DIY salad bar with organic greens.

In addition, there are made-to-order mini pizzas, paninis, and noodles. The noodle selection rotates weekly; the curried egg noodle with shredded chicken was excellent.

There is sukiyaki station, serving individual pots topped with thinly sliced beef. Add-ons like vegetables, crabsticks, and fish are also available.

As if the buffet spread wasn’t enough, the lunch also includes one main course of choice; lamb chops, pan-fried trout, beef tortellini, seafood spaghetti laksa, and pasta with sirloin. If you’re looking to maximize value, go for the lamb chops or trout. The portions for the mains are generous, too.

Pan-fried trout with roasted potatoes and tomato-basil salsa.

Grilled lamb chops with sweet and sour eggplant (similar to a caponata), and Brussels sprouts.

Seared king prawns with Italian gremolata and garden greens.

Dessert is a selection of bite-sized confectionaries, cakes, and fruit.

During the weekdays, you can get the semi-buffet for ¥248 per person with the Nomfluence Readers Deal. It's a great value lunch where you can eat your fill!

Plus, there's an option for free-flow, which includes beer, house red and white wine, chilled juices, soft drinks, coffee & tea. Details below.

Dinner a la carte

Southeast Asian Inspired

‍For dinner, Portman's Restaurant is taking a fusion route, namely with Mediterranean and Southeast Asian cuisine, borrowing from the backgrounds and influences of Executive Chef Chia Jue Xin and Executive Sous Chef Davide Mastrangeli.

Personally, I think the Southeast Asian influence is more apparent, which I'm inclined to like. Dishes like tom yum risotto and char siu pork ribs are the ones that call attention, but the  Singapore chili crab spaghetti is the star. All three dishes are available in the Nomfluence set menus below, starting from ¥388 for four courses.

Singapore Chili Spaghetti (¥128) - The highlight! Spaghetti tossed in a tangy, spicy chili sauce laden with crabmeat. A dish that you want all to yourself.

Asian Beef Tartare (¥178) - Quite traditional in flavor with a hint of fish sauce and spice, topped creamy egg yolk and served with prawn crackers.

Pan-Seared Foie Gras (¥188) - Sweet and salty with wild berry coulis and kaya, served with toasted brioche.

Tom Yum Risotto (¥228) - A whole live green lobster imbued with smoky aromas from being charred on the grill. The lobster is topped with roe and served over tom yum spiced risotto thickened with an ample amount of parmesan.

Charsiu Pork Ribs (¥218) - A half-rack of ribs charred on the grill and doused in charsiu sauce. It's a heavy dish, but the pineapple relish helps cut through the fat. Another highlight.

Truffle Hainanese Chicken Rice (¥178) - The rice outshines the chicken. It's a fragrant and heady helping of rice flavored with chicken stock, topped with chicken breast. Served with a side soup.

Durian Overload (¥88) - One for fans of The King of Fruit. It is made with Musang King and is as potent as it looks. There are lighter options available, including mango pomelo sago with avocado ice cream and osmanthus tiramisu.

If you’re popping in for a quick, casual meal, dishes start at a very affordable ¥68, namely the Mee Goreng Mamak, fried noodles with chicken, prawns, eggs, and assorted vegetables.

Dinner is served daily from 5:30pm to 10:30pm. Save more than 40% when you purchase the sets below!
